The Button Version has no app control — it supports an LCD display, manual feeding, 5-second voice recording, and up to 4 scheduled meals per day. The WiFi Version and Video Version both connect to the TUYA app, support multi-account sharing, and allow up to 6 scheduled meals per day. The Video Version additionally includes an HD camera.
What food pellet sizes will feed reliably without jamming?+
The feeder is designed for dry food between 2 and 12 mm in diameter. Pellets smaller than 2 mm or larger than 12 mm may not dispense consistently. This covers most standard and large-breed kibbles but may not work with very small training treats or oversized biscuits.
What are the capacity and size differences between the 4L and 6L models?+
The 4L unit measures approximately 23 x 23 x 35 cm and weighs 2.8 kg. The 6L unit is taller at 23 x 23 x 40 cm and weighs 3.1 kg. Both accommodate medium dogs and cats. The 6L adds 5 cm of height but the footprint is identical, so it fits on the same counter or floor space.
Does the feeder work if the Wi-Fi goes down or there is a power outage?+
The feeder supports dual power: it can run on a wall adapter or on three D-size batteries (not included). The battery option means scheduled feedings continue during a power cut. Note that the WiFi and Video Versions require app connectivity for remote control, but scheduled meals saved to the device will still execute on battery power.
What does the voice and video playback feature actually do at feeding time?+
All three versions include 5-second voice recording. When food is dispensed, the feeder plays your recorded voice message to prompt your pet to come eat. Pup R Us included this so your pet associates the sound with mealtime, which can be useful for pets that wander when you are not home. The Video Version also plays a video clip.
