Double Pet Bowl Side Card: Record Food and Water Positions for a Sitter

A sitter should not have to guess which side of a removable double pet bowl holds food and which holds water. Record the household’s existing arrangement with a top-down photo and a short side card. Do not use the card to introduce a new diet or schedule.

Name the sides from a fixed viewpoint

Stand in the position from which the sitter will approach the feeding station. Label the bowls “left” and “right” from that viewpoint. If the insert bowls can swap places, use the base or a nearby wall as the orientation reference rather than relying on the bowls themselves.

Make a two-line routine card

Write only established household information: which side is normally food, which is water, where clean bowls are kept and whom to contact with questions. Do not prescribe quantities, intake, bowl angle or medical feeding advice.

Photograph the completed station

Take one top-down image and one sitter-eye-level image. Include a removable paper arrow pointing toward the room entrance, then remove it after the photo. Save the images with the sitter instructions.

Ask the sitter to read the card back: “From the doorway, food is on the ___ and water on the ___.” Correct any ambiguity before the handoff. If the household routine changes, replace the old card rather than writing over it.

Place the printed card where the sitter can read it without moving the station, but outside the pet’s reach and away from splashes. Send the same image by message so a lost paper card does not erase the orientation record.

Cleaning and feeding should continue according to the household’s veterinary guidance and the product’s instructions. The Non-Slip Double Pet Bowl is the current product reference. This card records routine only; it makes no feeding or health recommendation.
